Consignment

The Consignment Process

  • Send pictures of your dress and basic info (brand, size, original price, year purchased, any major alterations) to hello@thedressyattic.ca
  • If we choose to accept your dress on consignment, we will give you a quote and send a copy of the contract for you to read over
  • If you agree with the terms, then we will set up an appointment for you to bring in the dress
  • Once your dress sells, we will contact you within two weeks to arrange payment (usually e-transfer)

 

Contract Summary

  • The owner of the dress gets 60% of the sale once the dress sells (unless it required cleaning upon arrival)
  • As of June 2020, new intakes listed at $195 or less will receive 40% of the sale
  • The contract is for a minimum of a year. At the year mark, we assess whether to keep trying to sell it or send it back home.

 

We do NOT accept:
  • short or knee-length dresses
  • any dresses purchased in or before 2013
  • three-piece or two-piece mother-of-the-bride dresses
  • flower girl or any child size dresses
  • dresses with a retail value of less than $150
